1. Using Ceramic sharpening rod
Most of you sharpen a serrated knife by ceramic rod first time so we learn step-step. Ceramic rod works extremely very well and sharpens a knife at minimum scratches as compared to other methods(electric method) and it gives a good result in bent points. In the end you find an amazing result because it is harder than the steel. The whole process is time consuming but at the end you’ll have a sharpened bread knife with better results than other methods. This process of serration with Ceramic rod is time-consuming.

- Brings a ceramic rod lightly, place a bread knife from the Serrated Side of Blade.
- Find the exact angle of your bevel and glide the knife back and forth on the ceramic rod. Do not put a lot of pressure, move lightly.
- Move the knife up and down the ceramic to remove some material and raise a burr to expose the cutting edge.
- Repeat Step2 on each bevel.

Steps for Very Dull Knife
If your bread knife tips are rounded or it looks like shape U then you need to work on it a little harder than basic maintenance.
- You need a diamond rod.
- Place the sharpening rod in one of the serrated each scallops(gullets). Choosing the right angle is easier for serrated blades.

2. Electric Knife Sharpener

Install the purple belt, Place the flat side of the blade at the bolster / handle against the fine grit abrasive belt. Set to low speed and squeeze the power switch and pull the knife steadily across the belt from bolster to tip. An 8” blade should take 8 seconds.
NOTE: Only place serrated blades on downhill right side of the belt. Otherwise you risk
cutting the belt.
Repeat until no burr remains on the flat side of the blade and serration ‘Teeth’ is sharp
